Life Drawing Artist Terms and Conditions:

Life Drawing is an event delicate in nature, and its success depends on mutual trust between models and participants. We strive to make sure that everyone is comfortable in the setting we create, and as such, we have in place the following terms for artists to agree to in order to participate in our Life Drawing events.

To note, Life Drawing is explicitly non-sexual in nature. Life Drawing is an artistic practice that celebrates the human form. As such, absolutely zero sexual behavior of any kind will be tolerated. What counts as sexual behavior is outlined in the following terms.

In order to participate in our Life Drawing events, you MUST agree to following terms:

·      Artists can leave at the interval, but not whilst the model is posing

●      Artists are not allowed to take pictures of the model

●      Artists must not approach the model whilst they are nude

●      Artists must not make sexual comments referring to or directed at the model. This includes but is not limited to comments on the model’s appearance, as well as propositioning the model for dates or other romantic activities. This latter condition applies outside the bounds of the Life Drawing event; If a model is made uncomfortable by your behaviour and they choose to report it to Art Soc, the following consequences shall apply immediately:

Should you violate any of these terms, we reserve the right to ask that you leave the event immediately. Depending on the nature of the infraction, this may lead to a lifetime-ban from future Life Drawing events and or Art Soc events more generally. Additionally, depending on the nature of the infraction, we may also report the behavior to the relevant University Channels.

Moreover, we do not tolerate or condone any sexist, racist, able-ist, religious persecution, transphobic, homophobic, ageist, xenophobic, body-shaming, or other inappropriate comments and behavior from anyone at Art Soc events. Comments or behavior of this type will be subject to the named consequences as well.

To note, works produced by artists are automatically the property of the artist. As such, we cannot dictate limitations of how an artist chooses to use or share their pieces. However, we kindly ask that, in the event you share a work produced from Life Drawing on social platforms, you please do not attach the name of the model to the post unless the model gives explicit permission to do so.
