Life on Earth - Art Exhibition
£3 entry at the door (card accepted).
Surgical Society x Art Society are excited to present: ‘Life on Earth’, an art exhibition evening showcasing student’s work.
This year the event is in aid of Emergency UK.
We want as many of you as possible to submit art! We would like submissions in any medium, including digital art, sculpture and large-scale canvases. Multiple submissions and collections of work are also encouraged. So get creative this winter break!
Art submissions in Meeting Pod A of the Union:
12-1pm Friday 21st January
1-4pm Friday 28th January
There is also the opportunity for artists to put their work up for auction at the event. 90% of proceeds will go to the artist, 10% will be donated to Emergency UK.
If you have any questions please get in touch: artssoc@st-andrews.ac.uk. We may also be able to set up installations (eg video/light shows) in the medical school space upon request – please get in touch with proposals and we’ll see what we can do!

Art Soc x Frog Soc: Art at the Aquarium
Come join us at the St Andrews Aquarium to draw the wildlife and especially the frogs!
You’re welcome to bring your own art supplies but we’ll also have materials available at the event.
Tickets are £6 to be paid at the aquarium.

The theme for the Saturday of Nightline Awareness Week 2021 is Embracing Change and this drawing salon will be all about embracing different drawing exercises and techniques that are not considered 'standard'.

Exhibition Submissions
Our exhibition theme this semester is ~Rejoice, Return, Reunion~
Physical submissions will be taken at old union 9-12 and 2-4 on the 15th and 16th of November. Physical submissions will also be taken at life drawing on Tuesdays before the 16th of November.
Virtual submissions for anyone who is not able to give us their art in person or would prefer to give us a digital copy will have until midnight on the 16th of November to submit their work via email to artssoc@st-andrews.ac.uk
We can’t wait to see your art and keep an eye out for when we announce our opening night event! Our exhibition will take place over the week of the 19th to the 26th at multiple locations - details to be announced soon <33
Szendaze x Artsoc
Paint, draw & create with the Art Society and Szentek’s art team on Saturday 13th November in 601, joining in on the production of and collaborating to create Szentek's art installations which will be displayed at Szentek’s event November 18th!

Medicins Sans Frontieres Holiday Card Making
Join Art Soc and MSF at the Can Do Marquee in the Tripod room on November 29! We'll be making holiday cards - bring a friend, listen to some good music, and get ahead on making cards for all your close ones as we near the holiday season! All supplies will be provided, so just bring yourself and some ideas! It is £4 per ticket to raise money for Medicins Sans Frontieres (MSF). We'll update you on how to get a ticket soon on Facebook! Make sure to snag a ticket when we do, as we can only have 21 people.

This is an in-person event with the Can-Do Marquis, 7-9 pm every Wednesday till November 25th. The model will be nude, just like last year, so join us for this exciting Life Drawing session!!

Wardlaw X Artsoc Workshop Series
Wardlaw X ArtSoc workshop series begins!! Every other Wednesday of the semester we'll be posting a workshop video surrounding the theme of identity and inspired by the museums' collections. These videos are made with love by our committee members and we hope you'll try them out!
Video links will be posted here at 1pm each alternate Wednesday and then you can join us on Teams chat room to share what you made and talk with other students about your work! Email museumlearning@st-andrews.ac.uk to be added to the Teams channel.
